LG introduces the new Signature G6 Series of OLED Flat Panel TVs at CES 2016!
LG’s Signature OLED G6 is LG’s top-end TV model for 2016. The G6 will feature an ultra-slim on-glass design with a high-end pivoting soundbar from Harman Kardon. The new G6 models will include LG’s webOS 3.0, Color Prime PRO technology and HDR. They will be available in both flat and curved models in 65 and 77 inches.
If you’re not familiar with OLED technology, OLED (Organic Light-emitting Diodes) differs from LED by not requiring a back light source.LED TVs are actually LCD based TVs that use LED back lights as it’s light source. OLED TVs use Red, Blue and Green lights that glow when electricity is applied to them eliminating the need for an LED back lights.
What does OLED mean for you as the consumer? Thinner, brighter TVs with deep, dark Black levels as each OLED pixel can be turned completely off. No other tech outside of old CRT tube TVs can do this!
LG’s Signature G6 Series OLED TVs are due to hit the market by May!
